The S-hook can be used to attach a neck line to the centerline or choke loop around the centerline. If you use fixlock (plastic hook), you do not need the s-hook because the plastic hook is the weak link.
If you want to use the neck line as a lead neck line or for example 2-span, order an extra fix cap to attach to the other end.
